Overclocking my Acer 3623
I just got a new acer 3623 intel celeron 370, and the cpu is running at 100mhz, does anyone know how to increase this? and if so tell me how?

That cant be the CPU speed. It might be either FSB or it may be 1000mhz. Check out the specs first.

You might not have any problem at all. I think your CPU is throttled down to 1 Ghz to conserve the battery.
But if you want to overclock, I suggest that you get the latest ClockGen from HERE. Just remember to read the instructions through. And if you are looking for a "substantial" oc, make sure that the cooling is up to the task! Some Arctic Silver 5 and a cooling pad might be in order. OT: Funny how none of the previous versions worked with my Ferrari 3200... but THANK GOD this one does! Maybe my upgrade to Win x64 was worth it after all? *Grin* |

overclocking
Under the Acer esettings menu, under system information and cpu, it says ext clock: 100 mhz, is there anyway for me to increase that to speed up my computer?
