K3nt is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
is 82 degrees celcius a normal gpu temp?

While idling, my gpu core temp is 82c. Is this normal for the Geforce Go 7400?

179.6 degree Fahrenheit.
K3nt, that's not normal. That's hot. Report it to Dell or try to control the fans.

If I were you, I will report that to Dell. They'll probably ask you to run the dell diag to see if the sensors are kicking in properly. You should ask for replacement (that is what I'm going to do if that's my system).

Mine while idling = 41C
If in use it goes up to 49C (just browsing, using word processor, scanning with antivirus and antispyware).
Just now it reaches 51C.

Yours is too hot.

Contact Dell immediately. Good luck. Mine is idling at 55C.
