Angry WTF!! Acer Aspire 2025 w/ 80GB 4200rpm drives!!!



what the hell!?!?!?1

Why in the bloody hell would Acer only offer their newest Dothans (Ferrari and Aspire 2025) with ONLY 4200 rpm hd's???? DAMN IT!!

because their targetted audience doesn't know what rpm is but see that 80gb is big for a laptop.

So if I just bought a 7200rpm Hitachi Travelstar drive seperatly, would I just be able to swap the two out, and put the original drive on ebay?

Yep you can . Not sure how that would affect warranty however.

warranty would be voided, i called pctorque and confirmed.

your only option would be to bring it to an authorized acer service place and have them swap it out for you. of course, most will probably charge you an arm and a leg to do it. one place i called said $75 to do the swap, if i provide my own HD. quite steep for 10 min of labor

I called Acer, they said that the warrenty would NOT be voided if you change your own hd. Might be the best option.

FOUND OUT SOMETHING COOOL!!!!!

You get a free Ferrari USB Mouse with this computer!!!!! SO AMAZING.......ahhhhh

I thought it only came with Ferrari 3000

so much more worth buy NOW!
