About to order an Acer Aspire 2025

So after weeks of back and forth between the Asus M6n wxga and the aspire 2025, I've decided on the aspire, and I'm going to order it today. The points that really put me over were the screen quality of the acer and the 128mb 9700. I saw a post like this a while ago, and so I'm just going to rip it off because it was a clever idea.

To any of your knowledge (or combined knowledges), is there any reason the Acer and I should not be joined in pc matrimony? Ill be sure to post pics and a review as soon as it arrives.

ps. im ordering from Newegg.com, is this a good idea? (ive heard good things)

Thank you all for all your help, this forum has been a great resource for news, opinions, and reviews. You should all sell your services for a premium.

S7,

what kind of warrenty did you get on yours? Does Newegg offer a warrenty for the 2025, or did you get an extended one from acer? Thankss,

Get it...

It's really nice. I got the 2012 Wlmi from Newegg and I love it (the screen is great). They are a great company...

I didn't see the 2025 model on newegg.com. Do you have a link to it?

It's there. Listed just below the 2012.

how long did it take those of you who ordered from newegg to get your machine? I plan on ordering (if I get the 2012) from them on July 15 but I absolutely need it before August 30th...thats when I fly out to France and I want to have some time to get everything set up on it!

Also, what kind of laptop bags did you all get for your 15.4'' notebooks? I want to get one that is a backpack.....thanks....ps, I think now I am 99% positibe I will go with one of the Acer's on newegg because its more economically doable and the product (from what I hear) is good too!

Newegg almost always ships the same day and my orders arrive 2 days later (from CA to GA) using their standard Fedex Saver Shipping.

You'll definitely receive your lappy in time. Newegg is a very, very reliable website. I'd expect you to receive the lappy within 1 weeks max. The acer 2012 is a system that can't be configured and thus the components are all ready installed.

I think you will dig the 2025. Its a screamer, and the orange/blue lighting scheme is sweet.

Did you also consider the ASUS W1N ? I ask because i am in a similar quandry and am trying to make a decision on one of those three. Anyone seen the Sony A series 17 inchers? I love the screen but not sure about the weight. If they're anywhere close to the 17in powerbooks, i'm settled. Comments...?
