Congrats, im thinking about getting a new notebook aswell, Im looking at yours, and the Ferrari 3200, not much between them apart from the processor and the screen. Do you have any complaints about the laptop so far?
how is the widescreen? |

My only complaint so far is that the audio connections are in the front, but i knew that when i bought it, so that not really a problem.
The widescreen is beautiful! No dead pixles, light leakage or any other issues, great viewing angels, i didn't know if i would like widescreen, but i love it and the resoluton is excactly how i wanted it. WSXGA gets to small for me, eventhough i'm only 17... Tiger edit. PS. I ran 3Dmark 2001 SE when i got it (stock drivers) : 10 039 that's not to bad. |

I had read that:
1.) the audio and arcade buttons get pressed accidentally by your arms. 2.) the audio buttons are "wimpy" and float in the socket they are in. 3.) The keyboard is recessed too far back to be comfortable. Can you comment on that?? Otherwise, will await your review. Have heard otherwise nothing but good about this notebook. Andrew Austin, TX |

1.)Well, i dont know how other people type, but i cant imagine being able to "accidentaly" press the Arcade buttons. My arms go on each side of them, not over them.
2.) To me the audio and arcade buttons seen firm and in place, no "floating" ![]() 3.) This point is unfortunately true, the keyboard is recessed to far back, sometimes making it uncomfortable, it takes some getting used to I'm afraid Hopes this helps Tiger |

I wonder what typing on a recessed keyboard like this could be compared to?? I am wondering how someone could duplicate what this would be like without seeing the notebook???
Here in the US, there is no "trying" an ACER that I know of (like you can try an HP, IBM, Dell, etc. for 30 days.) You order an ACER, and it is yours. The best situation you could find would be a large restocking charge. Andrew Austin, TX Quote:

I got mine from a Norwegian webshop, the only difference i think is that the 2026 has a Pentium-M 755 (2,0 ghz), vs. 745 (1,8ghz) in the 2025 (The 2025 is not available in Europe)

you could just try to open aplications like Adobe Acrobat or WMP or WORD, and see the time the both computers need to open it, i don't need benchmarking, just real word difference
