Got my Acer 2025, dead pixel and all...

Well I just received my Acer 2025 and it has a dead pixel. It is dark, with a slight redish tint. It is located about 2 inches from the top of the screen and slightly to the right of the center of he screen.

Needless to say im pissed. So far the rest of he machine looks great but when you pay a much for a laptop as this mahine costs it should arrive in perfect condition. I am going to try and contact insight and se if they will exchange it for me, but I dont hold out muh hope.

Sorry to hear that. But try with the vendor or better yet try directly ACER and grill them - don't accept NO for an answer. When you pay over 2K for a lappy it must be no less than perfect. I had a similar issue with an ASUS M6 and I returned it to DL who are great by the way.

I just spoke with acer tech support. They say that they will replace the screen for me. It will be a 5-7 day turn around according to the gal I spoke with.

All in all im happy with the mahine, but when you pay 2300 fo a machine you expect it to be perfect out of the box ya know?

Ohh well... I wont be able to rma this thing for another month because I am going on a business trip. The pixel is dull red so its easier to deal with than i'd expect. Unfortunately im rather anal about dead pixels, and this one had to land centered on the screen.

Ah well, everyone hopes that they don't have dead pixels.
It's very disappointing when you have one or more, especially if you paid over 2k for your lappy.

Glad you're happy with your new system
