Buying a Acer Aspire 2026 WLMI Tonight!!

Hi Everyone, I think I've settled on the Aspire 2026 WLMI over the Ferrari 3400, mainly for the battery life.

I'm going to be buying one very soon tonight (i think) so I would like some opinions on this just before I buy it.

The only thing that is worrying me is the widescreen tft, IE: will it be crap for games?

Thanks

Pete

Well If not, I could go for the Travelmate 8006,

Battery life seems the same, just doesnt look as good really as the 2026, but having never owned a widescreen jobbie before I'm just worried about that fact.

Any chance of any nice widescreen gaming pictures I can feast at?

Cheers

what is the price difference.. for me, it's a tough choice..

centrino with wxga
a64 with teh sxga

i would probably get the ferrari
the athlon is arguably better for games.. and i prefer sxga+ to wxga

Price is around the same £1300/£1400 ish

I'm more set on the Travelmate 8006 as it has the same features as the ferrari but longer battery life plus the nice 15" screen and it's dark grey
Red for me just doesn't cut it, imagine getting that out on the train lol, someone would fleece you

For me it's either the Aspire 2026 or the Travelmate 8006

Pete
