I am in the market to buy my first notebook. After reading numerous reviews all over the web I had narrowed my decision down to the Acer aspire 2026. However, after deciding on the Acer I found out that Acer does not sell the 2000 series notebooks in the US.
Acer does, however, sell them in Switzerland and my sister is going to Switzerland in January to study abroad. What would be the problems, if any, of having her buy me one over there and then ship it to me here in the US. I realize there will probably be international duties etc. (which I am willing to pay) but I am thinking more of problems with a computer made in Europe being compatible with stuff (for lack of a better word) here in the US. |

Different power cord (need a new one most likely) and whatever keyboard they use over there. Possibly the OS in another language, but at least where I am English is always an option.
