What do you mean downgraded? Version A06 is an "upgrade." It just doesn't have the FN Z+R on it. It's probably routine for them to upgrade the bios as you have it turned in for maintenance just for sake of upkeep.

Heh wow. His semantics are terrible though, when you say they downgrade you say what your system was at initially followed by what it is at now. It's how the English language works. That is indeed weird. I was told to flash to version A06 by dell tech support... but noticed no improvement whatsoever. Last edited by JFriedman86; 03-28-2005 at 09:43 PM. |

just to be clear
the bios was 'downgraded' from A06 ( newer/higher number ) to A05 ( older/lower number ) thus the term downgrade semantics aside the fact that they put an older version of bios on my machine makes me wonder why they released A06 in the first place I find it odd that they would not want my machine to have the 'latest and greatest' bios version unless there was a known problem with the 'latest and greatest' |

A06 has been removed from their support site I guess that means its recalled?
