7700 RAM Options

Hi,
I am sorry if there are several post on this already, please excuse me because I could not find just one or was not looking hard enough. In the near future I am planning to upgrade the RAM in my 7700, BTW I recieved my 7700 January 23rd. After reading this forum and the Sager forum it seems as if many of the 7700's came with different manufactures of RAM IE, Samsung, Corsair, Crucial seem to be the top 3 so far. My notebook actually came with Corsair RAM. The RAM has been flawless to this point, so no complaints there. My question is this. What manufactures of RAM did you recieve in your 7700? How has it performed to this point, and would you recommend it to others? Also from my own perspective and research I know for desktops there are only 2-3 chip makers that are high end but several manfuctures that use that same chip. Example Kingston on there high end desktop RAM used the same chip as crucial and corsair made by Hynax(something like that) at one point in time and may still do. Now saying this I noticed that my RAM has a Samsung chipset, has anyone else noticed this also, or have you even looked? Basically I am looking for the best deal for the best RAM. Thanks in advance to everyone that will be posting.

im not a 7700 owner but i have always had good experiences with crucial, and corsair. i would recomend those because of my good experiences with their brands.

Samsung makes the memory modules used in both the crucial and corsair memory boards.

I got 2 GiGies of Samsung and its great. And yes, Crucial and Corsair use Samsung Memory and charge you a grip for their respective names. In their defense its damn good memory and the quality is ever evident when gaming. There has been sooo many tests showing how good Crucial/Corsair memory is. As long as your Crucial/Corsair/Samsung, its all good. Mushkin is supposed to be good too...

thanks guys for the responses so far. I actually found 512mb for about $65 shipped per module and 1gig for about $100 shipped for corsair value ram, which is pretty darn good if you ask me. As for the Mushkin at one point they were using Winbond BH-6 and BH-5 in there desktop DDR2 modules which at the time was the "best" chipset in the world for desktops at the time. The last I heard they were using Samsung 443/441 D5 in the SoDimm's PC-4200 DDR chip sets, which by the way is the same as corsair. Overall I have heard excellent reviews of Mushkin's desktop DDR2 ram was the best and has been for the past several years ever since they started with the Winbond BH-6 chipsets about a year ago. But overall I am going to do some price comparisons on the Mushkin, thanks for the insight
