7700 RAM Options
Hi,
I am sorry if there are several post on this already, please excuse me because I could not find just one or was not looking hard enough. In the near future I am planning to upgrade the RAM in my 7700, BTW I recieved my 7700 January 23rd. After reading this forum and the Sager forum it seems as if many of the 7700's came with different manufactures of RAM IE, Samsung, Corsair, Crucial seem to be the top 3 so far. My notebook actually came with Corsair RAM. The RAM has been flawless to this point, so no complaints there. My question is this. What manufactures of RAM did you recieve in your 7700? How has it performed to this point, and would you recommend it to others? Also from my own perspective and research I know for desktops there are only 2-3 chip makers that are high end but several manfuctures that use that same chip. Example Kingston on there high end desktop RAM used the same chip as crucial and corsair made by Hynax(something like that) at one point in time and may still do. Now saying this I noticed that my RAM has a Samsung chipset, has anyone else noticed this also, or have you even looked? Basically I am looking for the best deal for the best RAM. Thanks in advance to everyone that will be posting. |

Samsung makes the memory modules used in both the crucial and corsair memory boards.
