Look what I just ordered =P

Well I havn't been on much as far as CS:S, since I've been awfully busy w/ work (training to be a sushi chef, so if anyone is ever in town drop a PM for the best sushi in town) and I have been doing research on a good gaming LCD, since my CRT crapped out on me a couple of months ago. I was going

to get a dell 2001 or 2005fp, but I don't really play at resolutions like 1600x1200 and my strict budget was to stay under $360...and when I do play, I play on my laptop (which plain ub3r sux0rs when playing CS:S since my fps blows big donkey nuts compared to the AW...and I've since given up

on playing on my DLP...soooo w.out further a due:

I just purchased a Hyundai (yep a hyundai haha) L90D+ Silver 19" 8ms LCD Monitor (Tom's Hardware had a great review, and readup on several other forums that it's one the best of 19" gaming displays available for the time being...plus it was right on the money for my price range.

wow nice. it must have been a tough decision to move away from the oldschool CRT. hope you give an update on this, I might go the same route when my monitor goes. its a dreadful thought. I really love my nec fe2111sb. its hard to think about gaming on anything else.

yeah, I loved my 21" IBM P275 CRT

Before the CRT I had an Envision POS 17" LCD w/ 50ms response time, talk about ghosting for days. But I guess I'm getting older since I noticed my eye hurting when I gamed for a long period of time on my CRT, that's another reason why I went LCD this time around. I'll be posting a in depth review in the review section once I receive it.

btw aurora, I'm looking forward to head shooting u too =P

I have this monitor and it is freakin' sweet. No ghosting whatsoever. There is a slight Dark->Light transition going from the top of the monitor to the bottom. This is slightly annoying when not gaming, but I seriously can't see it in-game. Good choice Yang, you won't be dissapointed!

I've got the 2141 NEC, the higher model Aurora, and I loved it till I laid my eyes on the 2001FP. I know everyone says I'm a Dell fan...but seriously, I NEVER thought and LCD could look so good, Dell or not.

I'd never go back to those huge monitors.

I think this is the link that helped me...can't remember...it's getting so that I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday. How sad!

I do, however, still remember hyperventilating when you "unveiled" your new computer - what a sight to behold!

A friend in my Clan purchased that same monitor about 4 weeks ago, he loves it.

Good luck with no dead pixels...
