updated to bios A06 and now fn+z+r doesn't work

Haven't used the lappy in a while and since it's time to call on it again, I figured I'd give it a good dose of updates. So I did and then when I went to fire up the fan settings using Fn+z+r, nothing happened. Tried it a few times for good measure, still nothing. Did the bios update remove that ability or did something go wrong with the update?

Any info would be appreciated.

Here you go. Link didn't work for awhile when it first came out. Then they removed the update, but it was available from Japan's site, so some of us downlaoded it from there...well hell, there's seven pages of it here:
