Woah... thats crazy. Kind of scary. I don't have anything to check the temperature, but nothing gets too hot and the fans don't go crazy for me. What is the AUX anyways?

I'm not really sure... its not the chassis... not the HD... or the CPU... not the chipset... the only other thing I could think of it being is the nVidia 6600. Sounds like a problem to me... or am i just over reacting? I've been having problems running CS source... it likes to restart from time to time....

Check out Everest... its free and it seems pretty awesome. It doesn't log the temps however... i had to Alt tab out of it to check out the temps... Anyone have any experience with Everest? Anyone know what else AUX could be?

From what I gathered, there isn't a good temp probe on the 6600 GO version. It is only on the 6800 GO or 6600 GT (desktop).

Can you recomend a probe for me that monitors the GPU temp?

I have no idea which software will work. I've tried to ask the nvidia forum a few times and the answer I got was the 6600 GO itself does not have a good probe on the GPU.

i too much of a puss to do that though

I believe the one you found is for the 6600 GT, desktop version. There is a BIOS mod just like you mentioned above, but that ONLY applies to the 6600 GT and it is the desktop version. Which does have a temp probe on the gpu

I know this is a desktop card, but you should be able to just right click the desktop, go into properties, settings, advance, there should be a tab for your card. From there just check the temp.

yeah, that doesn't work for the mobile version. I'm wondering if the Aux temp might be the display/monitor.

hmmm... I guess i don't understand why that particular temp would be so high compared to the rest of them. It's over 30 degrees Celsius higher than the processor!

I know! This beast gets freakin' hotter then hell according to it... maybe, if I can get my hands on another app that tells the GPU temp, i can prove it wrong (because you could boil water @ those temps)
