How to take out optical drive from Dell 600m drive caddy?

Hey guy, I really need your help. I've searched these forums and on google for 3hrs, and have tinkered a bit, but I can't figure out how to take out this NEC 6500A 8x DVDRW burner from my 600m. As you know, the 600m uses a Dell optical drive caddy to hold any optical drive. I am trying to swap the NEC 6500A with a 8x DVD-ROM from my Dell 6000d I just got. Please help me out. This is what I've done so far:

1) Removed drive (w/ tray closed) from notebook
2) Removed 3 short screws from left & right side.
3) Removed 2 long screws from rear (connector side)
4) Removed 1 short screw from the spring-loaded locking mechanism column

At this point, I've pretty much removed every screw I can see that seems to hold this NEC 6500A in the drive caddy. I still can't figure it out. Am I even on the right track? Please help me out, I'd be ever so grateful.

Tx again.

There are 4 short screws (2 on each side) in addition to the 2 long screws in the back. You have overlooked one screw.
