URGENT !!! - bios error on NEW ( just got today ) Sager 9880

Hi !

Just got today new 9880 notebook. It comes with Serial ATA 60GB hdd.

After I've installed windows and started installing software at some point notebook locked up so I have to turn power off and then on.

At stage when it's hard rive raid controller detects disks instead of showing disk it comes up with following error:

I thought that it maybe a problem with HDD, drove to Frys and got new SATA hdd.
Same shit.

Since I just have no time to ship notebook back to sager and wait for replacement - I'm quite desperate - because it turns out that I just thrown out almost $2500 - I have to fly to Europe for several months on wednesday this week.

Any ideas - maybe it's possible somehow to open notebook, reset bios, etc, etc ?

maybe just a naive suggestion as I'm no computer expert, but why not just download the latest bios directly from Sager?!

I would suggest the Bios version 1.00.05.

It's already comes with that bios preloaded.

Actually I've solved problem by connecting HDD to second connector ( top one ).

Right now I'm not sure what was that - glitch or one ide channel got fried....

check bios and see if it is set for SATA drives.
