My order just went into "Boxing", so how long ?

anyone have a good idea of about how long from boxing till it ships ? The estimated ship date is still Aug 15th. I'm worried if i should buy the cooler from newegg i was going to get this weekend. Would liek to have it once the computer is here, because i'll have to call off work to " burn er' in "

Anyhow , are theree any good other accessories for the laptop ? This will be my first personal laptop. I've bought and sold some older IBM560's before.

But i plan on getting the pacific breeze cooler, a flash drive ( 1 gig ) , and a good keyboard ( probably a saitek eclipse )

I ordered the targus bag from dell with the laptop also, because i've never bought a laptop bag before and didnt wasnt to mess up and get something that wasn't going to fit. SO does anyone use this bag ?

thanks in advance for the replies

I'm currently sitting in the "Boxing" stage too.

I hope it's less than 9 days from the order date, because that would mean my computer is coming on the 11th, and I dunno if I can wait that long!

Dell will tell you when they estimate shipping, so unless you need it sooner pick ground shipping. if they think they are delayed, they will upgrade shipping.

About 5 days I think from boxing. Keep in mind they ship your lappy from Malasia(sp)

I've ordered on 07/27 and finally went to boxing where it sits for 3 days now. Dell sent me an email to tell me the lappy will be something like 1 week late because they have no Centrino 760 ...BS me think

Once it leaves the Tennessee factory/warehouse (where its shipped from) you can figure 2-5 business days on the regular ground shipping. It depends on where in the USA you live I guess.

I remember when I was stationed in Northern California it took mail 5 days to get to FL but only took 3 days when mailing from FL to CA. I always thought that kinda odd since distance was same. Just different direction flow.

I believe dell has more factory/warehouse than just Tennessee. Mine came from Malaysia to Nevada and one day shipping to me. I ordered Ground shipping and it only take 1 day.
