Very nice guide Pairadimesitty, I don't have the audigy but have been on the fence for sometime on whether to get one or not. As for your rep question, I bet the reps that didn't count for you were given by people with under a hundred posts. I don't think rep counts till after 100 posts.

Yeah, Zelly explained to me in a rep hit message that it depends on the number of posts and the rep level of the rep giver. Zelly's hit counted so I'm happy with it.

yeah, it isn't an issue for most general applications, but it is irritating in games. Of course the delay dissappears when you stop routing to the internal speakers. This method is just a way to get better sound when you're not plugged into a set of speakers. You should obviously be plugged into a quality set of speakers, preferably surround, if you want to get close to the kind of audio prowess that the audigy can provide.

I just gotta, bump this thread. People are asking about how to do this again and that means this guide is too far burried so it's time to dig it up! Also, This guide should work with only slight obvious adjustment for any computer that can take advantage of an Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA.

Has anyone tried this on a area 51 m5500? I have been trying to figure this out and BAM it pops up. Can't wait to get home and try this out.
