I bought the r4025us:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (I think runs at 2.2 Gz and amazingly 2.0 Gz FSB)
1024 MB Ram (1Gb)
Double Layer DVD+-R/RW CD-RW
54g 802.11b/g wireless card
15.4 bright widescreen wxga
ATI 200m radeon xpress
80GB Harddrive

Paid $1029.00 after rebates at CompUSA

Mine doesn't get too hot... hottest area is back, central bottom.

Today I bought and R4000 from HPshopping.com.

Athlon 64 3800+ (2.4ghz)
256mb DDR 333
60gb 5400rpm Hard Drive
128 mb ATI RADEON 200M
Free upgraded to the Wireless 802.11b/g
Brightview 15.4 Wxga
DVD/CD RW drive
Windows XP Home

Total was 953$ - 50 Mail in rebate = Grand Total 903$

(I ordered with low ram so I can end up with twice as much memory for almost the same price)
