Windows 2000 M$ bluetooth

I recently ordered the billington bt module for sager. However, It turns out I was shipped a wifi mini-usb 802.11b card. Took a little before I figured out. But i didn't have to pay for the price difference so oh well.

However, I then went to use my m$ bt dongle. Unfortunately it only works on winxp. I don't want to use win xp. I noticed that there were "modified drivers" for the billington one to use HID protocol. Are there any that would be compatible with the usb m$ dongle on win2k?

Which sager model do you have? I mean, you posted in desktop section?

8890, but this wasn't sager specific.

Anyway, I found out that my usb cable had a problem. When I used the wand connector on the bt dongle it worked with the latest "modified" belkin drivers on windows 2000. That really is under the belt to force people to XP to use bt

Anyway, everything groovy now.
