8887-V 2 processors listed in Device Manager

Please can anyone help with this. I have the same processor listed twice in the device manager of my system (Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz, same driver number & file). I'm trying to install software for a PC Card, which is getting refused as it sees a multi-processor system. (It does however say under Computer, "ACPI Multiprocessor PC"

Another quick question... where/ how can I update BIOS and display drivers for this machine?

1) A hyper-threaded CPU shows up twice (as two identical CPUs) in Device Manager. Does the vendor have updated software the PC card?

2) The search button is your friend. Lots of posts on the merits of different ATI drivers; perhaps something on the 8887 BIOS.

Thanks SPiny, yes I'm getting to learn about the great search friend, but there was nothing specific about the 8887 BIOS since 2003.
