Nobody here has a Ferrari 4000 that is plugged in and can take a second to see if the transformer in the power cord is getting unusually warm or hot ?

Yep mine is LITE-ON as well, which funny thing is for a moment when i picked it up the first time and felt the heat dissapating I thought I had the wrong power adapter plugged in.

<Maybe its just me> but it gets VERY warm ! After playing UT2004 for about 30 mins u can cook an egg on it.

Mine says "Li Shin International Enterprise Corporation". Is that the maker of LITEON products or do I have a different brand adapter?

I have the same brand. It does get hot but not too crazy as stated above. I can hold it in my hand so its not unbearable or anything. When did you guys purchase your Ferrari 4005 [Those who have LITEON AC Adapters?]

Spartos when did you buy your Ferrari 4005?

I got mine about a little over a month ago.

Mine says, Li Shin International, and it gets very warm. Not enough to burn, but I wouldn't want to hold it for a long period of time. Likely normal. My previous notebook had the same kind of thing.

Looks like LITE-ON version is warmer then! cause it definetely feels hot on my hand.
I bought mine on early July on my trip to Singapore.

I just ordered F-4005 yesterday and will want an extra power supply and battery. Can someone give me all the model information and specs on both? I will begin to shop around particularly to see if anyone else makes a power supply. If so, I will report back as soon as possible to see if another brand has the same "problem." It really shouldn't be an issue. I can't remember checking my power supply for any reason. It's not like a catalytic converter that's going to start a grass fire, I hope.

Same here. I orded mine at the end of June and recevied it about July 1.

My power supply just gets very mildly warm to the touch under normal use.

Sounds like they did change power supplies within the past month.

The Li Shin International AC Adaptor runs cooler than the LITEON I think.

Where are you guys are from [Country] ?

Im in the US, maybe they ship different AC Adaptor for different countries, volatage are different so it make sense.

I have left my notebook on constantly for a month and my AC Adaptor is not really hot, i'd say warm. Nothing too crazy. I can hold it in my hand and not have it be uncomfortable.
