Actually I've been using/building AMD systems for the past 8 years. As you might know, VIA is also in the some of the best motherboards. And of course, you misunderstood what I said. Intel chipsets do not offer much flexibility. I did not mention nforce anywhere, as I haven't used nforce chipsets before. I was simply trying to point out that VIA chipsets offer far better value and flexibility than Intel chipsets.
On a side note, VIA has not been raped by NVidia chipsets. VIA motherboards are in a different price bracket, and performance charts don't show massive performance differences between the two companies' products.
