Compaq Presario v4000, on my lap?

When i have the laptop in bed with me it sits on the duvet or on a pillow on my lap. however, this retains heat rather well of course, and the little fan that it has comes on after awhile. furthermore the fan is on the bottom of the laptop so it will be doing no good.

is this a problem, will it damage the laptop, and how can i fix it? lol...stupid putting a fan on the bottom if u ask me, after all what if you put ur laptop on your lap

When its in your LAP normally they are fine because there is some type of gap for airflow. With pillows the vent/fans get blocked.

Your laptop has a PM to IIRC the max temp is like 95c... so it should take the heat but the pillow and things may not take that much...

so you're suggesting that the laptop will be fine, but the pillow might catch fire? lol well if it does, ill uh, die. lol.
