How many of you use hibernate?

I set it so it goes into hibernation when I close the lid. I <3 it.

I use it all the time. Its linked to my power button. I dont have the computer do anything when i close the lid because its too risky. You never know when a system will choke trying to get out of sleep or hibernate and you dont want to lose info just because you slammed the computer lid down because the wife entered the room.

Same here. Although, I only use hibernate for the battery when it gets down to 3%.

Are you telling me they have pr0n on computers now? First I heard of it.

Anyway, does anyone know if the 700m gets warm when you shut the lid with the computer still running? I had a 6000 for a few weeks and if i'd leave the lid closed then it would really warm up the screen portion. I never had that happen with my other laptops so i dont know if thats going to damage the lcd.

I use it if I've got a bunch of stuff in progress and need to pack up and go home/work. Otherwise, I shut down.

I always put my machine in standy (sometimes up to a week between restarts!), and just the screen off when I close it.
