help me choose a laptop :-P

Hi... I'm heading back to college soon, and I would really like a laptop for school. I have a few criteria:
1. Dedicated video card... I can't stand integrated
2. 15" screen or less
3. Under 6 lbs, and I would love it for being much less than that
4. It must have good battery life

I know this is a lot to ask for... but there are so many laptops out there, I think I'd go crazy looking at them all.

Hmm... that looks really good. I've never heard of chembook though. I was looking at the asus w3v, and I'm kinda trying to figure out which one between these two. Any thoughts?

Alright well (since I found no review of the chembook on that website), I have some questions. How sturdy does the notebook feel. Can you pick it up by one of the corners and not have to worry about it warping? Do you like the design of the case (pics would be awesome... if not, that's fine)? Does the laptop have a very sleek feel to it?

The notebook is very solid. The build and finish are very good. I am impressed to be honest.
As for flex and/or warping, one of the pictures that I will post with the review is me holding it by the corner. I didn't take it to demonstrate that theres no flex but to show how light this friggin lappy is.

Edit: Just to be clear, there is absolutely no flex when you hold it by one hand by the corner, nor when using the laptop normally.

I also own an Inspiron 5150 which is close to 11 pounds with its ridiculous 2 pound powerbrick so this is quite a jump for me.

The design of the case is very clean. However, I do not like the touchpad. My Inspiron's synpatic tp runs circles around the Chembooks.

Also, its not a seamless implementation like some of the newer designs that are coming out, so eventually all kinds of crap will start to build up in that little groove between the touch pad and the rest of the keyboard area (but this is going to be a problem with most laptops out there right now anyway, its definately not unique to the Chembook only).

Hope that helps. I'll post a link to the review here for you. If u buy your lappy form discountlaptops.com and post a review on it, they credit you back the shipping charge (thats why I'm writing mine )
