Does anyone know what RPM the 160 GB HDD for the expansion base runs @?

dunno, but it has to be faster than what I have in my notebook.

I would look for the Spec Sheet or service manual for it... I looked it up when i was about to buy but never did...

I want to say that its a 7200RPM b/c IIRC its a 3.5in drive & Im not sure i have even ever seen a 160GB 5400RPM desktop drive... Im sure they exist but...

can't seem to find any spec sheets, so just gona have a chat w/ a HP tech person...

I'm pretty sure it is a 160 7200RPM. I plan on getting it and will find out then.

Dang... I was wondering about how much cache is in it and if i can change out the disk for a larger 300+GB...

no, HP slapped some proprietary stuff in it....you cant swap drives. The interface is programmed to that drive....whatever model it is.
