new forum pages? - Page 5

yeah, it's really not that bad! And i am replying with the quick reply down at the bottom of the screen. I'm sure there will be nice new improvements made by pctorque to improve how these forums appear to people. I'm just curious as to if anyone is switching from the classic forum pages to the pale blues layout. sometimes peoples signatures dont appear quite as nice if they were designed to be seen on a single color scheme. Just tellin' ya!

edit\: yeah, and aussie, the avatar part of our names moved back to the side. I don't mind it either way, but like the way when it was on the top just in case photos are larger than my screen. Is there a way, pctorque, that i can adjust the image size, so that i don't have to scroll to the right to read threads after a large (1280x1024+) size? thanks

Good job, PCTorque! I like the setup you have going now, it may look a little strange, but, meh. The grey color goes well with the color of my 5670, so now when I'm browsing they match. A little inconvienence is a small price to pay in order to make something better.

<- Plus my avatar looks awesome

edit:
haha, I just looked at the very first post in the off-topic section. What is it about, you may ask? Complaints about vBulletin.

Sweet. Things are getting back to normal! Yeeeeeey!.... It just takes time....

P.S. I started using the Pale Blue scheme (the new grey thing scared me off) and have to say that its not that bad at all. Come to think of it, its not that bad on the eyes! Plus, I think reading white on black is worse on the eyes in the long term than black on white, I believe.

It's A "Work In Progress"

Maybe we will have 10 - 1,000 themes so that everyone is a "Happy Camper". I like the current look much better than the one earlier this afternoon.

I agree with what gsferrari said a while ago. The forums looked and functioned best a few months ago BUT we need to all stop complaining and let this process finish. Right now the forums are undergoing what I see as necessary change and until they are finished we need to all relax a little. Don't be so afraid of change.

I like this "Second Attempt" at the second major re-haul... the pix and things are at the left... I've been on Pale Blue forever, so this is still nice... We did lose the LOCATION (as mentioned) and the ability to edit our titles, but no big deal. I finally found my "MARK ALL POSTS AS READ" - and while I don't like the drop-down, I can just create my own button in Firebird (link button)...

So I'm content a little bit now. And that's what's really important, right?

Bah... 4 pints in 2 hours, I feel young again.

Oh, forgot to add: this QUICK REPLY is GREAT! And it has the TAB then SPACE to submit! No more mousing around to click the submit button!

you and your shortcuts, myrkat! I knew someone who nearly never had to use that mouse cause he was so good at shortcuts. When i get good at cad i shouldn't need a mouse that much. But thankgod there is that number pad on the right of my keyboard!

Go broncos!

Have you found the threaded and hybrid views?

The black wasn't bad but the red links were horrible. I like the new look. It's much easier to read with these old eyes.

I'm actually getting used to this black and gray combination. Sorta reminds me of how I had mIRC set-up in the days of IRC.

Some of the functionality of the forum I haven't decided on yet, but overall its shaping up.

I need to know too! The one under Quick Links marks ALL forums as read. I found out the hard way.

Its under quick links
But that only has "Mark ForumS Read". Try it.
Nevermind. I found it. Its under "Forum Tools" Drop down at the top of the table with the listed threads.

... Hmm... I think it is now safe to say that I am comfortable with the new forum. Its actually better with all the new nifty little things like minimizable forums. Way to go, PCT...

I'm also using the pale blue because of the gray. I liked the color before it changed to grey as the default. Maybe it could be set up as a color scheme?
