FT: Shuttle SN25P System For Gaming Worthy Laptop

Hello all,

*Okay, I'm really wanting a XPS2 or equivalent. So if you have one and want to trade, I'll throw in a dual core X2 ( 3800 ) instead of the single core cpu in there. Or for sale for 1000OBO*

My girlfriend is back and I find that I have no time to game at home or anywhere for that matter since I'm always at her place and the only computer she has is a really cool TR3A Vaio that's great for Pokerstars but sorry for any kind of real gaming.

So I figure to get my gaming fix, while still spending time with her and stuff, I figure why not get a laptop and kill two birds with one stone...

I recently built this Shuttle System about 2 months ago and it's run flawless for me, no lockups at all and the latest bios/drivers/etc...

Here are the specs:

-SN25P NForce 4
-3000+ Venice A64 OC'd to 2.3 ghz at 1.3V
-300GB SATA Seagate 7200.8 HD
-1GB ( 512 x 2 ) PC3500 Geil Platinum 2.5-6-3-3
-ATI X800XT PCI-E w/ VF700, the drive cage has a small ~2inch cut to accomdate the cooler, which doesn't adversely affect anything
-Black SATA Plextor 12X DVD Burner
-Dell 2005FPW 20'' WS LCD in perfect shape except for one dead pixel which isn't noticeable to me unless I'm trying to find it under certain backgrounds. Never noticeable when I'm gaming.

Gets > 5000 ( vid card not OC'd ) in 3DMark05 and speed wise I'm sure it could do a lot better, but my primary goal for this system is to keep it quiet and at 1.3V the CPU temps rarely rise above 40-45C at full load and in SoCal summer weather. The fans are also set to the absolute minimum via Speedfan and the VF700 at 5 Volts.

I figure this system is a pretty decent and modern rig that should last you a good amount of time. If I were to keep it, I'd love to drop in a Dual Core and a 7800GTX, but sadly I need something more portable.

To that end, I'd prefer to trade for a laptop with a Pentium M processor and ~6800Go level video card ( Ideally a XPS2 or 9300 ). High native resolution, 7200RPM HD, lots of RAM are all pluses, but I can upgrade if need be.

Heatware/Ebay: Lord09

*PICS*

Sorry, I'm looking for something with more video power.

It's the SN25P, based of Shuttle's latest P Chassis...

Nice

Nice config I've been shopping/thinking on a SN25 for a while. Thinking of retiring my Inspiron 8600 P M 1600 w 1 Gig ATI 9600/9700 128 Meg 40 Gig for a while now.

I know my 8600 is a lesser machine than you are looking for and definately not comparable to the shuttle. I dont need both LCD's and could probably throw in a decent bit of cash if you can't find another trader and would like to discuss.
