VMWare for now. I'll install it natively on my second XPS2.
I can't get ethernet running though but I usually have that problem with VMWare.

Ewww?

It's okay. . .nothing jaw-drop worthy for me though.

Awesome. I have seriously considered using the MAC OS but I love PC's. If I could get the OS for a PC that would be awesome....

wait, You mean I can put MAC OS on my XPS GEN 2?????
Nice one! But is it even worth a try for a MAC noob like me?
Its all fine to run the OS. Their are some issues running alot of the mac apps though.

Could somebody post a walkthrough for installing it natively (boot from the hard drive, no emulator)? I'd really like to dual boot this.

No, nativ is not possible. You can not install it. Apple want to sell own hardware. Many luck for MS, I would see many win (and linux) users running to the nicer and beautiful OSX, from the original GUI makers copied by MS...

Right now with the OS X86 developer release it is possible to install OS X natively on certain PC hardware. The TPM scheme has been cracked.

Expect this to be made much more difficult when the full release of OS X86 comes out.

CONGRATS! I can do the same thing with widowblinds....AND I can play all the latest games in the same OS....sux4u

Wow! That is so cool. Maybe this will convince Apple it is pointless not to allow us to install OS X on any computer.... I would not be surprised if it is also hacked to run on AMD processors. I have long wanted to run OS X instead of windows on my PC! And the rumors that OS X for intel will be able to run PC programs natively means one thing... see ya Microsoft!

I don't know why you people are so hostile.

I just wanted to show those that are interested that it does work on the XPS. This forum after all is about sharing information.

It's running in VMWare. It's still running Windows and I can play all the latest games. Please, pay attention before you start posting.

Through VMWare yes. I'm not sure about a native install. I'm going to 'dd' my VMWare installation to my second XPS.

The only Mac I've touched was an 8bit Mac years and years ago and I used it to play Oregon Trail. The install took me all day because it requires emulation through PearPC. And my hard drive by nature is slow as hell.

People already have native installs done. This is just the first step.

Ok, it is with a crack here, Linux and a easy dd of a tiger system image maybe possible, or was it all the time with cracking or an EMU, but it is not what apple want and support. If they get a head on this, you can not imagine how fast you are away from the line of success.

I wish they would do this natively on the x86 arch, but they never will, as long they want to sold (i)Macs.
