Check them out here:

http://global.acer.com/products/et/notebooks.htm

Alot of these aren't hardware specific so we should be able to use a couple of them on the Ferrari 4005!

Just have to wait for there notebook to intergrate these, probably will be able to download off of their support website!

The tools I probably would find useful would be ePerformance and eLock.

To download actual utilities head to:

ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/notebook/emp...ology/utility/

and directory above that hosts case studies:

ftp://ftp.acer-euro.com/notebook/empowering_technology/

What are those utils for? Is there some kind of fan control?

You are awesome DarthAcer, Gonna try this out on my Dell laptop before I load them up on my Ferrari to check and make sure they work.

I downloaded these and tried to install.

One thing to point out, install the Empowering Technology Framework first.
It's the "empowering_2.1.9.25.zip"
Some of the other apps need this installed before they will install.

On my 4005 w/ X64, power managment app still doesn't load, moans about not being able to install a driver and what not.

And the eNet Management unfortunaly only works with 2 Intel WiFi cards.
Why would they limit it to only Intel cards? That tool looked like it would of been really handy.
Oh well.

Everything else has installed fine, but I haven't played with most of em' yet.
Even the ePresenter has a 64bit version with it.

Has anyone installed ePerformance on their stock Ferrari 4005 [Windows XP]?

Does it automatically intergrate into eManager? Did you have to install empowering Technology Framework First?

For me The Ferrari 4005 includes the tool I would use besides ePowerManagement.

The others don't seem like I would auctually use besides ePerformance.

Yes, I did.
No, you have to uninstall eManager to install Empowering.
Yes, uninstall eManager then install Empowering.
ePerformance is pretty usefull. It is full of options and also ePower Management is a good tool.
I didn`t use eData Security and eLock yet and eNet didn`t install.

I've installed ePerformance but I don't really see the benefits? Have you? It does have many useful option located in one nice center console. Have you noticed any increased performance playing around with any of the options? Decreased startup / shutdown times?
Yes, but not on startup or shutdown. I basically saw some improvement while moving around Windows itself (folders, menus, CP, IE...) and loading apps seans a bit faster.

I've been playing with the enetmanager. Unfortunately it seems to kill our Linksys BEFSX41 everytime it goes out to detect what networks are out there, so everyone was loosing network connectivity which for some reason annoyed people. Does anyone know of a program that has the same functionality (i.e. set the default printer/run programs depending on network environment, automatically connect to wired/wireless network)?

TIA

A simple search for "net switcher" returned serveral results.

"Mobile Net Switch" looks interesting, but it's WiFi support is still in beta.

I miss Toshiba's ConfigFree program which is a very well done network switcher, but of-course, it only works on Toshiba's.

Thanks, I am currently giving Plug and Browse a spin, but will keep an eye open for Mobile Net Switch.

If simply uninstalling from the control panel >> Add or Remove Programs doesn't doesn't work for you, take a look at this thread: http://www.notebookforums.com/showthread.php?t=104757

now the problem is when i opened the e manager from drive D:, i got error message.
and if i open the elauncher ond D: it says that the emanager is located on C: !!!
and further more the booting time for C: and D: is noticably longer now,
