Does anyone use a notebook cooler OTHER than pacific breeze??

OK, I need to get a notebook cooler for my laptop, but I'm having difficulty choosing. Everyone seems to have the pacific breeze, but what about the other brands? The Targus Notebook Chill mat looks good.
What experience do you guys have with alternative notebook cooling solutions? Something efficient for the xps gen 2. Thanks!!

No. But why not the Pacific Breeze? Take a look at my pictures link in my sig. Not only does it look nice but it works very well!

because I was looking at different solutions. It seems cheap & I was wondering what a more higher end solution can do performance-wise.

Unless you seriously overclock. I think the only thing that is needed, may be to raise the back of the notebook for better airflow. I don't think a cooler with fans is needed with the 9300. Mine barly gets warm. The only somewhat hot area ( around the memory door) becomes hot with a long memtest86 sesson. Otherwise, it is barely warm. The XPS2 may be another story.

Speaking of raising the XPS2, does anyone have a cool product that raises the back up, and works well?

Thanks!

yea 2 bottle cap tape together on both side of Xps would raise the back up just perfect for airflow .... though its not a bad idea to try 3....

I have a great solution - I took two whiteboard markers and clicked them together to make, essentially, a tube about .75" dia and 13" long. Wrapped it in electric tape (since the desk is dark grey/black, so it would blend) and taped it down on the desk where the back side of the laptop sits. It lifts it almost an inch, allows airflow, and since I use the laptop screen as the main screen with ext mouse/kbd, it's at a perfect height

I use the Targus Chill Mat. It does what it was built for, but nothing extreme. I would personally recommend the Pacific Breeze as it is more efficient. The one thing the Targus has going for it is that it is quiet.

I love my Pacific Breeze notebook cooler.

I no longer have problems with RAM getting too hot when I play games like BF2.

Great. My local CompUSA has about 4 or 5 different models. Which one is it?

I have the Vantec LapCool 2 with USB2.0 hub and it's great. I'm very happy with it. I bought it from NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834999413) and it's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it. It acts as a laptop dock for me as well, I only have to plug in it's USB cable and the power cable to the laptop and I'm good to go. Very convenient.

I picked up this at my local Fry's Electronics:

My 9300 hangs over the sides a bit , but all the rubber feet make contact and it works well.
