The amost annoying thing I found about BIOS upgrades was when they change the way the lights flash. I upgraded my i5100 (back in the day ) and the battery light went from flashing when charging and steady when charged, to steady when charging and off when charges.

Sorry if I'm a noob about this, but what is a BIOS? I'm new to laptops, is that something only on Laptops? What does an upgraded BIOS do? Should I upgrade my BIOS? Just got my laptop in May. Thanks.

If you don't know what a BIOS is, I don't think you should be upgrading one

A BIOS is the software built into the motherboard. It takes care of things before you boot into Windows/Linux/Put your OS here.
