I am concerned about this errror that I receive on windows, I have
windows xp pro sp2 with a gateway 7510GX

I do not think that it could be my RAM but I am still worried and let me know wthat you think

I made a rendering saved as avi compressed file with cinepak codec the software that I used was Bluff Titler dx9

Well, when I try to run it from windows explorer I receive a pop up window from ms windows that says
--------------------------------------------------------------------
ActiveMovie Window: explorer.exe - Application Error ( window title )

The instruction at "0x01c83710" referenced memory at "0x01c83710". The memory could not be "written".

Click on Ok to terminate the program
Click on Cancel to debug the program
---------------------------------------------------------------------

but when I load first the windows media player and select open and I get the avi file it does not appear that

do you think that it is a program of ram or a bug or program from windows explorer and windows ?

let me know

I am concerned

thanks
Ray

Checking their website it appears the newer version solves a corrupt file export which sounds like your problem. Upgrade to the newest version and import/export again.

I have found this information doing some research on google, this is one for a lot of them that they are experiencing this error,

".memory could not be written" error
Posted: Oct 20, 2004 9:56 AM Reply

Here is an error that happens very often:
The instruction at "0x01c3fded" referenced memory at "0x02c4f3e9". The memory could not be written''.
Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on Cancel to debug the program.

This memory errors are very common. In this case I have not choice but kill the application. Most time after the application generates this error it leaves a lingering 'process' that slows down the system and causes the freezing of any other instances of RapidSQL that I may launched (I never launch more that two instances at the same time. Lately I just run one.)

Any ideas on what might be the issue? "

please help me

thanks

It's definitely a software problem, either in the application you're using or a driver it's referencing. Something is trying to use memory that belongs to another process and Windows is locking it out. Nothing for it but to troubleshoot down to whichever program is the real problem and start bugging the manufacturer for a patch or workaround.

mobile hackbox, btw, I have the newest version of bluff titler
also I captured some videos with Pinnacle studio newest version and then I tried to edit with Ulead Video Studio 9 and suddenly on some part I got the same message with different address. so I do not know if windows xp pro sp2 got corrupt or it is a incompatible codec / driver, etc, I do not know what is going on

You can burn the image to cd-rom also (don't just burn the iso, burn the image.)

Hm.... well I wrote on the general forum the answer for what you wrote me, but that's weird, I have a tiny file named *.iso it did not work the burn with nero, it does not do anything
and believe me, I have burn some isos and they work great so I am not doing something wrong, just I need the correct file
post #13 of 16
Hmmm I've gotten that ISO to burn before without problems, but I probably used Alcohol 120% or WinImage or something, Nero and I don't get along very well.

I'm not sure how accurate the Norton tools are, but I'd imagine they're accurate enough to tell you if you have a real memory problem. Authentic memory errors aren't all that difficult to detect.

I would say, if you can precisely duplicate your issue each and every time you try, don't worry too much about a hardware problem. You'll almost undoubtedly be after a red herring. Most hardware problems result in sporadic errors that are difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate precisely.

I have seen this error frequently when a media file is corrupt (i.e. not fully written out). Basically Windows doesn't recieve a return error code, the Windows tries to resolve the problem by letting the codec try to resolve the issue and whamo you get an "out of memory" range error. You mainly get this error in Windows Explorer with the preview Windows uses. Since you said it does this on other software it could more than likely be a codec issue. Reinstalling DirectX 9 and Windows Media Player 10 might solve it. Cinepak codec is not found in a redistributable format AFAIK. Try exporting to Divx format and see if that works .

The only two solutions are like Andevian said... it's either a program bug or a codec stream error. I would contact Buff Titler co. and see what they say. No sense in beating us up over a non-machine issue but we appreciate the inquiry nonetheless.

thanks for the answers, I will rest now I was thinking that it was my ram or video memory now, I feel better with the diagnostic that I did with a not professional but at least check almost all errors on video and RAM

thanks again guys for your answers and I have never had any blue screens that is good

In a last ditched search I typed in the error you first posted. Here is the search: http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...lication+Error

I found the third link at ieXBetaBoard interesting, They talk about Divx problems and improperly registered codec. Hope that helps. Google is amazing.
