Thinkpad T21 Won't Connect to TV!!!

My thinkpad T21 has a Savage IX/1014 8 MB Grpahics card w/a s-video port- but no matter what I do, nothing shows up on my TV!
(could the problem be the cable?)

With everything connected, press and hold the Fn key (Function key bottom left) and F7 (the key with a pic of two blue windows). This enables the S-video output. IT may cycle between three settings, w/ LCD only, w/ LCD and S-video and only S-video so dont be scared if your LCD goes dark.
