That's including a 7-8 buck shipping fee.
I just finally got fed up with all my apps sucking my 256MB of RAM away. (Yeah-yeah, "256MB?!! " -I know. )

Anyway, for a mere three hundred bucks plus a financial corn-holing from my credit card, it'll be like having a whole new laptop.

Errr, ...right?

ya it should! i remember when i upgraded my desktop from 256 to 1GB. Everything loaded 98% faster and the computer stopped freezing up. You will love it

I just bought a 1gb stick from zipzoomfly with free 2nd day air for my 9300.

I bought 2gigs of Kingston Value Ram. It got 49 errors in 15 passes of memtest86. Beware of getting cheap memory.

thats like waking up next to a couple supermodels and remembering the whole night and knowing you got it on video for your friends

The only way you'd ever wake up next to "a couple of supermodels" is if they were fat chicks that model the "full-figured" plus sizes for Sears.

i love my Kingston branded 2GB's... when i had a prob with 1 stick they sent me 2 new sticks with the same revision number so they'd match... they also sent them before i had to return my old sticks so i was never down...

So would this just default to my 333mhz speed on my Inspiron 8600 if I bought it or is it not compatible at all with my system?

Might want to cancel that order. The 9300/XPS chipset requires DDR2 memory.

Another happy Kingston user - 8 hours of Memtest and 0 errors.

WooHoo! It's here, it's here!!!

So I put it in and turned it on from Resume and the "Blue Screen Of A Thousand Errors" popped up and told me my BIOS said I suck, and to stuff my new RAM in my OWN ass.
Yeah, uhhhhm, don't do that. Shut it down first so it boots into the new RAM and the BIOS and OS can do their thing. (I did remove the battery first, though. -do I get points for reading the installation instructions even though I already knew what to do? )
Anyway, after a bit of tachycardia, it's all good.
Hopping from program to program, opening ten at a time and checking email, refreshing things, playing NFSU while I have 97 processes going...This is KEWL!
(Keep in mind I just went from 256 MB to 2 GB! )
I see my CPU and GPU temps have risen- suprisingly the GPU has risen more. No programs running; Just browsing right now. Usually the CPU & GPU are around 42 & 41*C, respectively.
Now they're at 46 & 53*C.
What gives?
