I'll chime in but the list is long
Dual DVI
External SATA (2) ports
(true wish cuz there just is no room) 2 hardrives - can probably live with the E-SATA though
A true 12ms 24 bit screen
7800 GTX performance or better
Yonah - and the ability to bump Yonah up a speed grade (the 10% overclock that Intel is comfortable with, but that would go a long way to making a world class gaming machine) 2.17*1.1 = 2.387 2.34*1.1 = 2.574 you get the idea what this would do for a "plugged into the wall super gaming option"
The written guarantee that the G80 go will be compatible as an upgrade
The guaranteee that Merom (the 64 bit Yonah) will be an upgrade option
SATA internal drive architecture
I full size keyboard. I'd take it without the keypad if the keys were close to full size and had superb travel. I'd like to see a backlight system under the keys too. But the keyboard has to be gamer grade, meaning able to go 10x as long as a normal laptop keyboard.
Sorry folks, but also a non glare screen! No more mirror finish please.
Low latency memory - yep I can dream but you'd think that OCZ or Corsair should be able to supply Dell with gamer grade memory. If Dell is going to charge big bucks for their own memory at time of purchase, make it super low latency memory!
Plextor DVD-RW drive
A speaker "input" so I could run an external soundblaster card back into the main speakers without going through a bios hack. Even better, mobo makers are starting to integrate Audigy grade sound chips, why not put a Xi fi into this thing! If you can drop in Wireless networking why not Xifi sound?
Wimax and high speed 108 speed wireless networking
An under laptop (with proper ventholes in the structure, ie built for the XPS2) battery, about 1" thick that goes under the whole laptop for those long away from the wall sessions.
Potentially SLI 7800 Go as an option, but probably power will limit this as an option
Expresscard
NCQ on the SATA
A "made for XPS3" laptop cooler
The ability to use regular releases of regular Nvidia drivers, without mods and that don't break our machines.
"Windows Vista" ready...
a 64 bit upgrade path
That's my $.02
