CTO t43p

I called IBM to order a CTO model and said I could not get one without ordering HD/Mem etc, whats up with that were they giving me a line...

On the website, is there a model number for a express CTO system that has the 14.1 and Fingerprint reader, there is a 15" model for $1399, if I can get the 14 for a similar price I would order it now......

I believe you can get it without those components if you call them to order it.

It is not a valid configuration unless it has all of the components of a base system: optical, memory, hard drive. The wireless and bluetooth, etc. are optional.

IBM/Lenovo does not sell "barebones" configurations.

It is possible that one of their value-added resellers could get a barebones setup, but, as an individual there is no way to order one.

When you configure a CTO online, you do a "check system" and it will have red X's where you need to add components. If you call a sales person they will also make you add the components.

What the sales people told me is this: They could take an order for a barebones, but it will never ship, since the configuration is not valid.
