I have had a lot of little problems I have been working on but now I have a major problem: basically I turn on the comp, the fans don’t come on, and it dies.
1. Comp turns on, no fans go
2. Mobmeter registers 1 degrees Celsius, obvious not working (I usually ran hot even before this) No fans running
3. Comp shuts off 4 minutes in.
4. Power and battery light then flash and alternate for 30 seconds in orange color
5. With the comp now off the fans then BLAST full speed pumping out hot air.
6. 30 seconds later, computer is completely off no fans going.
Other problems leading up to this:
1. Computer freezing while sitting around for a long tome
2.Monitor turns off according to power settings but wont come back on (I know this is a whole different thing)
3. Has really bad "pauses" where it sounds like a cd skipping if I am playing a video or song. It is as if the computer freezes for a second, nothing will move and its back to normal. This was pretty bad before I reformatted.
I will probably have to RMA this but I want some input. I need to decide ASAP as I am going back to school.
Also, I looked through the computer to make sure everything was all right and I noticed how worn and backed the thermal paste looked on the main rear heat sink. Picture is below. THANK YOU FOR HELP ~Kray
