1- Is the dell too large to lug around?
2- Keeping in mind that i have to buy from in Canada, Is there another Notebook that has a videocard to suit my needs? Or will the 6600 in the aus work for me?
I had the same worries when I wsa looking for a dell laptop, check out my reviews on this topic if you like very lengthy but covers this topic, to keep it short here there are pics of a 9300 stacked and side by side with a 6000 and 700M they give a great perspective on the size of the 9300. If you look at its specs you will find the 9300 only a pound heavier than the 6000, half an inch deeper and an inch wider. Not much bigger at all for the bigger screen and better video performance it offers at almost the same price give or take seventy dollars depending on your configuration. The 9300 is the smallest 17 inch laptop out there, check its dimensions with other manufacturers.
I can tell you that after a few days, I couldnt imagine using a laptop smaller than my 9300, its not that heavy and I carry it to work along with a briefcase every day.
You will find alot of people spouting off about how huge and heavy the 9300 is, you will also find that these people have probably not seen one and most certainly do not own one.
No worries here, the 9300 is the perfect size, not a problem to carry around and its not a problem to use on an airplane either.
