The S-Video would run the picture to your TV. You'll need to get a 'Y-adaptor' to take the headphone output to your AV stereo.

This way, you get the sound and the video to your TV.
Settings for the screen?
Use the Blue FN key, next to the Ctrl key on the bottom left. Press, hold and then hit the F8 key. It goes through a cycle (can't remember the order) of 1, display from laptop 2, display from the TV 3, display from the laptop and the TV. Make sure you have it set to 2, so it displays on the TV.
The laptop will auto adjust to 800x600 for the TV screen unless you have HD.
