Since I take it this notebook will not be available to the US market I wonder if anyone know who the original manufacturer is and if it might be available as a barebone? Seams to me the MXM modular GPUs are getting more popular too, nice to see!

It is an open standard. Anyone can make cards that fit in the MXM specs module. Who makes this card, I don't know... But yes it has the ATI GPU.

Which is good enough for gaming. But I agree a WSXGA+ option is always nice.

For gaming yes, but I'll be also (mainly?) doing some composing/music production and scientific stuff - and for that higher resolution would come in handy. But everything they release now (with the turion) is either overpriced or WXGA.
