I formatted the HD, so there's no bloatware. Also installed drivers again. Not sure why the low score.

If you Auto oC'd then your core should be like 495 or 546 (or 540) cause those clocks that you posted are stock clocks...
Oh and no I dont have a more feasible method to overclock and I guess I'm just hoping that 7800go will be upgrade option and that it won't be Bios-locked...

Noob Question: Shoman, you know how to auto oc your card to just 495 so it doesn't lock (well only locks in 3dmark at 540 core on auto oc hehe)...I flashed back original clocks just cause i guess (couldve left 500/1250 or so but oh well)...

Another EDIT: LOL that would be so funny if i was manually overclocking an easier way and was holding out...Also CPU idle is 26-27 (i think it can get lower) and GPU idles at 49 (think it can get lower as well)...I have pacific breeze cooler and will be putting AS5 on cpu and gpu soon...

ah those are stock clocks huh? That sucks... and I notice that if I try to clock it higher the settings won't stick. I see all this flashing shit... do I have to flash my bios in order to overclock this damn thing??
No....install coolbits and then you can auto oc in the nvidia control panel...but auto oc'ing isnt exactly the most stable in the world but its fine for ut2003, mafia, and call of duty (im stuck on those OLD 3 for now...everyone should play mafia and if youve already beat it, beat it again)

In order to manually set clocks bios flashing and randomness from 77.30 drivers are your only choices...Sorry, on with posts about bios flashed clocks...

I don't use the auto OC, it sucks.
well I went ahead & did a search on bios flashing, flashed em to what I felt would be a good combo of speed & stability.
I'm now running at 487/1255. I scored 5688 3dmarks, which is good enough for me.
I was only getting around 5150 with dell drivers + stock speeds, so I think I'll stick w/ this!

I am amazed at how well this card takes OCing. I had an X800Pro that I flashed to an X800XT PE. That card had the same memory chips as my 6800go Ultra. The memory on the X800 wounld go past 570 mhz which really pissed me off. Now I have that ultra that is running fine at 650mhz on the memory without additional cooling.

I'm Proabably going to lower my clocks. As much as I love 500/1300 is the card keeps throttling down

Yeah surprisingly the 6800go ultra handled clocks way better than my GeForce 2 MX that i used to have awhile ago...how can nvidia make two products so different...theyre just like intel...for some reason my 2.2 p4 is way slower than my 2.0 pentium m...

So I finally decide to use the Bio flash. I was scared shitless cuz I'm a total noob and I didn't have AS5 applied (which I'm still too noob to do even with the stickied instructions). Luckily, the BIOS flashing instructions were awesome and with the ISO and everything already made and ready it was quite easy. I copied the speeds that shoman posted from awhile back 487/1250.

Stock with dell drivers: 5223

Auto OC with 77.77 drivers: 5567 (terrible, 3D Mark worked fine but Doom3 crashed my comp every 10 minutes.)

BIOS Flash (77.77 drivers) to 487/1250: 5708!

I'm quite pleased with this amazing performance boost. Doom 3 is running a lot smoother now and no crashes so far. I don't really know how you guys check temps but I just go to the forceware temp settings right after i close the game. The temp is about 65 which is only 5 degrees higher than before. Do you guys I'm alright without AS5? Though I suppose one day I'll AS5 it...

The Pentium M has a much shorter pipeline than the P4. Just like a 1.8Ghz AMD Athlon XP can be matched against, an Intel P4 2.2Ghz, the Pentium M SHOULD blow the socks off your P4

So is it agreed that the 77.77 drivers are the best?
77.77 drivers (with nvsvc32.exe error on shutdown...)
OC at 512/1250 stable
Apply AS5 on GPU and CPU
BF2 runs smooth for hours temp ideling around 80-85 C
desktop activity idel temp : 48-51 C GPU and 36-40 C CPU

3dmark score .........6028

Quick question ? is it possible to damage my video card by flashing it to often ?

Dude I got 6022 at 500/1300............................??

As for flashing, Nah I don't think it will ruin anything.... (I hope )

before I aplied AS5, my previous score was 6025 with the 77.72 drivers at 512/1250 but I was crashing after an hour of BF2.

It seems that AS5 does a real big difference!!

I will post pics of 3dmark in case some people are sceptical...

ok here is an update on my testing

I don't know if it is considered cheating but In the image setting of NVDIA, I changed it to High Perfomance.

for some reason I keep having heat issue with 77.77. I tried twice and it idles real high when im not gaming and turn the fan on high (58c fan on high). So have I swithed to 80.40 idle at 55c and temp. at gaming is higher than Dell 77.24. Decidied to go back to Dell Driver 77.24 idle at 48c -52c now game temp. is pretty low. Out of all these Driver I really like 77.77 the most but the idle temp. keep increasing and keep turning my fan on high so have anyone experience this problem before?
