More and more laptops with ATi 9600 graphics are now appearing on the market. Gamers on budgets may be interested in the two cheapest such laptops that I have found so far:

For $1359, the PC Club ENP747

For $1599 (without the optional carrying case), the Gateway M505X

Do you know of any others?

That's a good one for the UK. 998 British Pounds = $1680.

Let's not forget this one: The Sager 4080-C from PC Torque for $1495

Here are a couple more thanks to Ronbo56:

For $1379, Internetishop model AO57C13F

For $1459, Internetishop model AO57C15G

Please note: I have not had the time to contact Internetishop and verify that these laptops really have these specs and are in stock. I also don't know if they are available in other configurations. Maybe someone can contact them and post here what they find out.

These appear to be variations on the Aopen 1555 line....first one i've seen that claimed ATI 9600 graphics, and weird it has a slower cdrw than most of the others. Otherwise, it's a match line for line.

Check out da link to a local shop:

Here are two more cheap laptops with ATi 9600 graphics. For $1179 and $1369, the ZT Note UA201 and ZT Note UA202. Both have 128MB ATi 9600 (aka M10) GPUs, AMD Athlon XP CPUs and 3 hour battery life. I am not familiar with the vendor so I can't vouch for them.

ZT Group

checked around a lil bit and ZT Group seems like a reputable company. They have a business profile on yahoo and cnet has a review of one of their desktop systems. AMD also has them on their partner list. I wonder what ODM they use.

I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what kinda info i can get, the website won't let you do any customising.

Nice find bargainseeker!

I've ordered through internetishop before through eBay. They seem like a reputable company.

The thing is that most/all cheap laptops seem to be using 1280x800 screens. That's small... a vertical resolution about the same as 1024x768, just wider. Eh. Seems like a waste of the card.

i don't know which one is cheaper, but here is a link with all the laptops that have ATI 9600 graphics (there maybe a few more, ie Mitac).

ABS Computer is offering a more configurable version of the AOpen 1557G laptop that is also offered by Internetishop. For $1599, it's called the ABS Computer zForce F2. ABS offers the Hitachi 60GB 7200rpm hard drive as an option.
