Advice - New Laptop

No doubt there's plenty of people asked much the same thing as me before, but I've been searching the net for days without finding exactly what I'm looking for and I've finally decided to ask for some advice...

I'm looking for a laptop that is powerful enough to do amateur video editing, so it wants reasonable CPU speed and memory and a firewire port. Hard drive space I'm not so bothered about as my older desktop has plenty of room for archiving to. Other than that, it would be nice if it had 802.11g wireless, and I'm interested in the idea of a 64bit Athlon but that's not essential. It doesn't need to be ultra-portable, a couple of hours battery life will do me. My budget is around £700. (I reckon that's about 1250 USD)

I'm liking the look of the Acer TravelMate 4402 WLMi, though sadly it seems to be only available to you guys in the US and I can't find any reviews of the European equivalent the 4401LMi. However that's just an idea and if anyone has a better suggestion then fire away...

Thanks in advance!
