New Dell Covers for the 700m - Page 2

I just disassembled the LCD cover, just a few screws and that's it, I left the LCD itself and the hinges attached to the base, you don't have to remove the whole thing.
I have not done the base yet, too lazy to take the whole thing apart but I do have a spare for it too
spray-painting is easy if you take your time!

Would it be safe to just use those adhesive textbook covers? Rather than spending 16$ on less choices?

Can you get these adhesive covers for any notebook?

Actually, where do you get these adhesive covers?

The ones I'm thinking of are sold in Walmart, and are used by students to protect their textbooks. I'm not sure if the adhesive is safe/ok for the Dell. But it's a lot cheaper than the "official" ones. They come in a variety of sizes since some textbooks are just huge, usually you just cut 'em down to size.

I even saw some fake velvet ones.

I know what you mean, and I don't see why not. If your lappy can stand the test of time, and travel, I doubt a bit of contact is going to damage it. I actually think thats a great idea!!
