I have seen on some of the screenshot posts were some of the computers look like they are running the MAC OS X on there XPS2. Where do you get this theme or how do you make it look like that?

Thanks

deviantart.com has a lot of neat skins, themes, dock icons, etc. Also, the program Object Dock (google it) makes an excellent Mac-esque dock program (the icons at the bottom of the Mac desktop).

Hope this helps!

There's a GUI mod called Flyakite that actually modifies Windows so that it looks like a Mac. There's one downside to this, though... you can't undo it once its done! That being said, it DOES look very nice, but after doing this a few times, I got tired of it and just used a theme. The theme I use is called "Panther," and mixed with a Dock program (ObjectDock, etc.; I use YZDock), you can get it to look pretty nice. Here's a shot of my screen...

EDIT: Here is an older picture I took when I was using Flyakite SP2...

Ok I loaded the Panther theme and the docking software and after about 2 hours I had enough of it and removed it all.
Menu's were just too different and I really do not want to try and figure it all out now.

Thanks for the answers.

There is an utility called windowsosx, i found it at digg.com and installed. Looks great, but not as good as osx.

The only thing I don't like about objectdock is that if you take out the taskbar, you can't see any programs in the toolbar. There is a plug-in for it but it's buggy to hell and crashes every hour also not to mention the shitty graphics it has for the icons. Toolbar is a must for me.

Very Cool Stellus.

Has someone tried something lighter than ObjectDock? I only have 512MB RAM and OD slows down my system a bit

It does? That is most unusual. OD should not use any CPU unless you actually click on any icons, and on my system, with about 20 icons visible, some of them containing a bunch of OD "drawers", it takes up a whopping 1.5MB of memory. I doubt you can find anything more lightweight than that.

I used Yzdock for the dock at the bottom of the screen. YahooWidget for others. Finding the suitable taskbar and i have MAC GUI lol.

I use ObjectDock, WindowBlinds, and Yahoo Widgets. Just click the thumbnails in my signature to see my setup. I love customization.....

flyakite osx ftw, it works great, and even replaces your bootup screen.

I have been mucking about with the windowblinds stuff as well, but it got annoying, I also deinstalled the objectdock because the icons look horrible when magnified, and they're pretty bad even whe they're not.

( I like my icons big)

There's also a nifty little program called objectbar, which can recreate the full Mac taskbar thing, with all the program-specific functions, only it costs a bit...

You need to replace the stock icons with high resolution versions. Then they'll look great at any magnification.
