I ordered my Inspiron 9300 last night...Ah woot woot!

After a few months of research and dreams (well, some nightmares :-)) of laptops, I finally ordered my 9300 last night!

Here's the run down:
  • Pentium M 740 (1.73 GHz, 533 Mhz FSB)
  • 17" WXGA+ display
  • 256 MB RAM (adding a stick of 1 GB RAM from Newegg.com...will add ~$100 to the total below)
  • 256 MB Nvidia GeForce Go 6800
  • 80 GB HD (I'll assume it's a 5400 rpm based on the trends around here)
  • Windows XP Home
  • CDRW/DVD
  • Intel 2200 Wireless (b/g)
  • 6 cell AND 9 cell batteries
  • 2 Year @ Home Warrenty
  • 2 year CompleteCare Accidental Damage Svc
  • Free Dell 720 Printer

TOTAL COST (incl. WA. sales tax & S/H) = $1375.83 (after 40% off coupon and $35 off coupon). So, with the ram upgrade included, I'll have my 9300 for less than $1500!

Now the wait begins. Let me know what you guys think of the build. I'll write a review once I get this beasty up and running! Woot woot

Nice rig, lol, now you'll start "checking status" every 10 minutes for the next week.

Nice setup the only thing i would consider adding is the bluetooth adapter and buying an atheros wireless card from ebay... i ordered mine and found more wireless networks than i did when i had the 2200 in... just my preferences

forget about blue tooth, overrated, doesnt live up to expectations and costs more than using a wireless usb notebook mouse from microsoft.
You can get it after market cheaper,I find it to be a waste though,

No need for bluetooth on my end. Plus, if I need it at some point in the future, I can buy the module for cheaper than dell wanted. I'll keep the atheros card in mind if I find myself having trouble with the intel card.

Man, UPS is a bunch of ***clowns. Laptop supposed to be delivered two days ago. I got the free printer that shipped separately, but no lappy. This is why I ship FedEx.

Ouch, if you dont get it tomorrow, call up and ask what the hell happened. The guy could be fooling around with it in his truck

Who didn't do that? 9300/XPS2 are the sweetest lappies on the market!
how did you do both 40% off and 35% off? how is it possible to combine coupons?
It was 40% and $35 off, not 35%.

Haha...40% off combined with a 35% off would be sweet...though not economical for Dell :-)
Yeah, that would be pretty sweet, I would have paid $1040 for mine instead of $1600(I got the 3 year warranty if you're wondering why so much)
