Dark spots

I'm sorry if there has been other threads on this.

I have a Sony S360 and all of a sudden, I'm seeing 2 small dark spots on the screen in the middle towards the left. I'll see if I can post pictures.

Does anyone know what this is and how to cure it? Or should I use my Best Buy warrenty to replace it if it's not fixable?

Thanks

HI,
I have one dark spot on my S170P as well. It looks like keyboard rub! I do not think Bestbuy can warranty this issue. I believe the best way to avoid this is to use a micro fiber as a buffer between the keyboard and lcd when closed during transport. As far as getting the dark spots off the lcd, I do not have a remedy yet....

It looks more like a lighting issue, than a keyboard issue. You could be right though. I think I read somewhere that this is called ghosting or something. Not sure though.

I have one dark spot as well and would be interested in finding out how this could be cured.

The dark spots are called polarizer dents, they are caused by something hitting the screen. I had 3 on my old HP. Try to get sony to fix the screen, they might call it a defect.
