This is a really bad idea. I've seen them in my local BestBuy. The top one's center of gravity is too high and it falls over just by touching it. Add a seriously heavy DTR like the high end Dells, Sager's etc. and you have a heavy weight on top of a narrow pole. The wheels make it even worse, now there is nothing keeping it in place on the floor. Another problem with the top model is the tray the notebook sits on. The floor model was poorly supported and only a screw held it in the proper orientation. The joint is weak and it bends. It took very little effort to put enough force on it (typing, adjusting tilt) to move wiggle the screw loose enough that it flops over dumping your expensive notebook on the floor and the leg. There is no pin to lock it in place once adjusted. That second panel is very small, the picture doesn't do it justice. That panel is just big enough for a cup of coffee and a pen. It's not a mousing surface.

yeah, I agree, do you really want such an expensive laptop on such a flimsy looking stand? But that is just my opinion.

you brought a lot of good points !!!

They do call them laptops for a reason... . Honestly, the second one looks like a glorified sheet music stand, maybe you could get one of those cheaply.

I was looking for something like this too, I'm glad I didn't lay out the money for something that wouldn't be safe.
I'd like one of these, but I'm not laying out $200

I have a busted up leg and i had 5 surgeries and i cant sit in a regular chair for extended periods of time. You can get a drawing lap board and padd the bottom it.It is the perfect size for my XPS Gen 2 then my nostromo n52 gamepad on the left side and my logitech MX 1000 laser mouse on the right side and i have those laptop legs on my laptop to raise the back for improved airflow and it also puts my laptop on the perfect angel for typeing.I also had a old targus cooling pad which i did not use anymore so i cut the hinge out of the center of it.Then cut the drawing board in half riveted the hinge padded the ends left just enough room for the hinge and it folds in half it works great think i should patten it

I've got one of those but I'm always worried about knocking it accidentally, it's kind of rickety with the high center of gravity
