DVD Backup PLays in standalone, not PC

I was recently backing up a few of my movies before leaving for college and found it werid why my new copies would play in the my standalone Daewoo DVD player, but not even in my laptop. Not one of the 5-6 DVD's played in either my external Sony DVD writer, nor my Sager 3880's CD-RW/DVD Drive. Could this be a codec issue? BTW: I've used both Maxwell DVD-R's and Sony DVD+R's with DVD shrink and DVD Decryptor and attempted to play the DVD"s in PowerDVD and WMP10. I'd appreciate any info.

More information: are they straight backups with the video_ts and audio_ts folders? Can you browse the DVD disk (folder contents).

I can browse, and yes the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders appear as normal. Mine problem was fixed tho as I uninstalled powerdvd and reinstalled both WMP10 and WinDVD. Thanks tho.
